विद्या ददाति विनयम्, विनयाद् याति पात्रताम्। पात्रत्वाद्धनमाप्नोति, धनाद्धर्मं ततः सुखम्॥ (Knowledge gives humility, from humility one attains worthiness, with worthiness one gets wealth, and with wealth comes righteousness, and then happiness.) It is with immense pride that I extend a warm welcome on behalf of Shri Bhagwandas Adarsh Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya, Haridwar. Nestled at the foothills of the Himalayan Ranges, the college is enveloped by lush greenery, creating a serene and tranquil environment that is perfect for learning. Shri Bhagwandas Adarsh Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya, Haridwar, founded in 1965 by the esteemed Shri Gurucharan Das, President of the Akhil Bhartiya Sadhu Samaj, stands as a beacon of traditional and modern education. Shri Gurucharan Das ji envisioned an institution where the ancient wisdom of Sanskrit and Vedic traditions could flourish alongside contemporary academic disciplines. His vision was to create a nurturing environment that promotes intellectual growth, moral integrity, and spiritual development. It is both significant and fascinating to note that the ideals which inspired Lala Bhagwandas Katyal ji, the namesake of this institution, are deeply ingrained in the very essence of our college.
