Ashima Shrawan is an Assistant Professor of English at Sri Bhagwandas Adarsh Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya, Haridwar. Her main research area is Indian and Western Poetics which she formalized in her PhD (2016) on this subjects. Her thesis has been published in the form of a book by Cambridge Scholars Publishing, United Kingdom. She has delivered a number of lectures at both home and abroad Manchester and Nepal. She has published articles and papers in various journals, including Journal of Indian Philosophy, IUP Journal of English Studies, Indian Literature and Metacritic Journal for Comparative Studies and Theory. Her paper was shortlisted for the prestigious C.D. Narasimhaiah Prize at the IACLALS Annual Conference in 2024. She is a Bharat Pratibha Sammaan Awardee.
