The college was founded on April 13, 1965, by Mahant Param Shradhey Shri Gurucharandas Ji Maharaj of Avdhoot Mandal Ashram Trust, Haridwar, who generously donated the land and building on behalf of the trust. Earlier the college was affiliated with Sampurnanand Sanskrit University, Varanasi and it gained recognition through the efforts of the dedicated professors. In 1978, the college was selected for the Adarsh \u200b\u200bSanskrit Pathshala Yojana by the Government of India. From 1995 onwards, the Government of India entrusted the college to Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan, New Delhi. At present, the college is affiliated to Central Sanskrit University, New Delhi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The college is dedicated to promoting the knowledge and scientific insights found in the Sanskrit scriptures. As a part of this effort, the college publishes its own journal named Adarsh annually. Esteemed professors contribute their research papers to this journal, with selected articles being published to disseminate scholarly findings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
